String Driven Thing has been played on NTS shows including How the Other Half Lives, with Travelling first played on 28 February 2017.

String Driven Thing were a folk-rock band formed in 1967 in Scotland. Led by husband and wife Chris Adams and Pauline Adams, they featured the electric violin of Graham Smith. In April 2009 String Driven Thing re-founded as String Driven.
