She began playing piano when she was 3 years by ear, and began formal classical training when she returned to her home country in 1992. She continued studying classical piano and composition, winning several competitions. She began singing in 1998, later on landed a record deal in the US, where she recorded a country album in Nashville. She returned to miami in 2004, where she also learned production and sound engineering. She has performed in venues such as Madison Square Garden and the Miami Arena.
In 2006 she came back to Guatemala and continued working independently. In 2008 she released an album called Trying to Believe, with Alejandro Davila, which combined electronic elements with real instruments. In 2010 she collaborated with Francis Davila for his debut album Shine. Her vocals have been played by dj's such as Paul Van Dyke and Giussepe Ottaviani.
On June 25th, 2011 she released her first solo album, produced and recorded entirely by herself, called Flaminia in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
