Brylho was a Brazilian soul funk band formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1982.
Bio
The band was formed in 1978 as Brilho da Cidade, and was formed by Arnaldo Brandão, Claudio Zoli, Paulo Zdanowski, Robério Rafael, Bolão and Ricardo Cristaldi.
The band is considered a one hit wonder and their only hit "Noite do Prazer", from their 1983 self titled debut album “Brylho”, has the excerpt "Playing BB King non-stop" (“Tocando BB King sem parar”), which was understood by the Brazilian public as “Swapping bikinis non-stop" (”Trocando de biquíni sem parar”).
The band disbanded in 1985. Arnaldo Brandão founded Hanoi-Hanoi, Cláudio Zoli pursued a solo career, Paulo Zdanowski formed Banda SoulRio, and Robério Rafael lives in Unamar, where he suffered a stroke that made it impossible for him to continue playing his instrument.
