HYMNS is an alternative rock band formed in London in 2016. The line up consists of Oliver Hooper on vocals and guitar, Giorgio Compagnone on bass guitar and backing vocals, Matthew Ash on guitar and Amy Chapman on drums. Drawing heavily from post-punk gone by, HYMNS create epic and ethereal songs. The band recorded it’s debut release, The London EP, live at London’s Smokehouse Studios. The songs explore themes of isolation, desperation and hope in modern day city living; an honest commentary on our modern lives, and attempts to offer a pragmatic way forward.

The Hymns are an indie rock band based out of Brooklyn, NY. Originally consisting of North Carolina natives Brian Harding (vocals,guitar) and Jason Roberts (guitar,wurlitzer), the band picked up Texas-based rockers Tony Kent (drums) and Matt Shaw (bass guitar) upon arriving in NYC. Debuting with the "infectious" album, Brother/Sister, the Hymns have been steadily gaining in popularity, appearing with such headliners as Ben Kweller, Hot Hot Heat, Beck, and the Sam Roberts Band. Releasing thier second album, "Travel in Herds," they are named by Spin Magazine as one of the artists to watch in 2008.
