Using synthesizers and drum machines, Group Zero (Cathal Cully of Girls Names) glistens with subtle Euro sophistication - pairing cold-wave optimism alongside freaky and brutal tracks for the more open-minded DJs and dancefloors. Structures and Light, Group Zero's debut album is dance music made with a post-punk ethos. Synthesizers and drum machines paired with grinding guitar feedback and a coarse, DIY production feel. Opening track ‘The Glaze Over’ sets the tone for the dancefloor. Smacks of the '80s in ‘Pursuit’ and ominous building synths in ‘Vernissage’.
