1) The Messenger was a post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Long Beach/Los Angeles, California, United States formed in 2006.

The Messenger, only a few months into the band with only a handful of songs and shows played, they had already inked a Record Deal with the Los Angeles based hard-working independent label, Mediaskare Records. Label Owner Baron Bodnar discovered the band through demos on Myspace and immediately saw potential in the young group whose average age was only 18. With Mediaskare's support, the band matured quickly when they were instructed to write an entire album's worth of material in only five weeks. Shortly after the writing process, the band went into the landmark Undercity Studios in Hollywood to record their debut album, "Let's Get Dangerous!" with producer Stephan Hawkes. Since the release of the record, the band has done six national tours alongside bands such as Catherine, Destroy The Runner, Memphis May Fire, Showbread, and For Today.

Born in Zagreb/Croatia, in a difficult and in some ways not fully developed subcultural enviroment; The Messenger was guided to expend & focus itself and it..s expression to the audience worldwide. First acctual market appereance happend 2005. with a track called " Guided " on a compilation for " Night Drive Music ",followed by an album and more releases on "Night Drive Music" and on it..s sublabels like "2600 records", "Neurotron Music". It..s unique sound was recognized by Luis Novo which shortly after, Feb 2007., results with an E.P. for his new and upcoming label" Exquisite music ". This step forward brought more exposure and three tracks were licenced for a cd compilation on " Soulstar Records ",and recently one track was signed for a compilation on Plastic City. As an act The Messenger and it..s founders present their music in some of Slovenia..s best clubs,esspecially pointing out "Synaptic Chill" events in K4 Club,Ljubljana,probably one of the first micro house events in this part of Europe. Their sets slide trough many genres , and era..s of electronic music , based on deep athmospheres and sophisticated grooves,expressing the stories of their lives and hopefully improving the moments of others….
