Blackhouse

Blackhouse has been played on NTS shows including You'll Soon Know w/ Tim Parker, with Chimurenga Vibration first played on 24 August 2016.

Since their first release in 1984, Blackhouse have released a wide variety of music. Formed as somewhat of a retaliatory action against the more negative aspects power electronics of the period (obviously, the name is meant to be a play on Whitehouse, and may imply a darker side to American government).

With releases that range from all out noise fests (Pro-Life), to rhythmic noise, and their cult classics (5 Minutes After I Die, Hope Like A Candle, and Holy War), to pulpy pop (Material World), hip-hop (Shock the Nation) and to ambient soundscapes (Dreams Like These), and everywhere in between, Blackhouse are one interesting duo.
