Duck Fight Goose (Chinese: 鸭打鹅) is an experimental rock band from Shanghai, formed in 2009 out of the legendary Miniless collective. The band's original line-up consisted of Han Han (also Gooooose, Lava Ox Sea a.k.a. 炎浆公牛海), Wu Shanmin a.k.a. 33 (also 33emybw, Boojii a.k.a. 波激小丝, Muscle Snog, 33 Island a.k.a. 33岛), Cao Die Yu a.k.a. Da Men (also Boojii and Hard Queen), and Wei Wei a.k.a. Panda (also Muscle Snog).
With their first EP, "FLOW", they created layers upon layers of sound, combining modern ambient post-rock with driving, 70's prog-rock riffs. A year later, they signed with Maybe Mars Records, and released their first full-length album, entitled "SPORTS" in 2011. In this album, they use multiple instruments to create their own sound space, describing dark images of cities, sports, the future, and more. In 2012, the band brought their sound to a completely new audience having been invited to play at SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas. At the end of 2012 drummer Da Men left the group in order to move to Austin, Texas. She was replaced in 2013 by Jean Baptiste.
The 2016 album Club Zvkvnft (Chinese: 未来俱乐部) saw the band take a new direction, embracing a more futuristic sound that depends more on dance rhythms and electronics and less on guitars. This direction was followed further in the subsequent solo careers of Han Han (as Gooooose) and 33 (as 33emybw).
