DJ Akoza has been played on NTS shows including ONY, with Ridin Dirty first played on 23 March 2016.

DJ and Producer from Texas. Originally went by the names of DJ LV, DJLV Akoza or just LV Akoza, he's the founder of East Down to The South records, and a frequent collaborator and ex member of Doomshop Records. During the early years of Sixset (owned by Cursed, at the time known as Cvrsxd) he worked with some of their artists such as Baker Ya Maker (at the time known as Baker X Phonk), Mack187, Cvrsxd, etc. Years later he worked with MC Holocaust (at the time known as Deeeeznvtz) producing a couple tracks for his album Baptized in The Flames, and later he would join the label. He has worked with artists such as Freddie Dredd, Apoc Krysis, Stonedogg, Cursed, DJJT, MC Holocaust (with whom he would make a collaboration tape called Products of the Underground), Yung Dmize, Da Menace, Soulzay, Baker Ya Maker, Ned Bundy, and most recently with TrippJones and frecuent collaborators Reverse Live and Dj Mourn.

He's got a distinctive sound, which you can recognize by the unknown 90s hiphop samples and hard hitting drums. Some of his production work includes Phonk, Screw rap (sampling tracks with a very similar technique to Dj Screw), boom bap and dark trap.
