Alan Skidmore (born Alan Richard James Skidmore on 21 April 1942 in London) is a jazz tenor saxophonist (and the son of saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore). As well as albums under his own name, he has recorded as Alan Skidmore, Tony Oxley & Ali Haurand and co-founded the all-saxophone ensemble S.O.S., plus worked with a multitude of artists including John Mayall, Ronnie Scott, Centipede, Soft Machine, The Nice, Graham Collier, Chris McGregor's Brotherhood…
