On 4 September 2015, Mophono was a guest on Solid Steel. Mophono has been played on NTS shows including Trevor Jackson , with VL MONO first played on 27 January 2016.

Mophono (real name Benji Illgen) is an instrumental hip-hop artist residing in San Francisco. Also known as DJ Centipede, he runs his own Change the Beat night and CB Records label, and is part of Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder collective. His 2011 full length debut is entitled 'Cut Form Crush'.
