Mexican record label, Naafi, settle in at NTS for a showcase of the weirdest experimentations in club culture that have bubbled to the surface of Soundcloud. Dazed rhythms converging into Jersey stutters, and tumblr-era trap for two straight hours on a Monday.

Sods

Sods

Sods has been played on NTS in shows including Henry Rollins, featured first on 3 November 2015. Songs played include Pathetic, Minutes To Go and Repeature.

Sods were the first punk band of Denmark (though they released records on England's Step Forward label—home also to the Fall and the Cortinas). They were followed by acts like No Knox and Bollocks; in the beginning of the 80s they changed their name to Sort Sol, Danish for "Black Sun."

There was also a The Sods from Worthing, England that put out two singles in 1979. Aggressive, keyboard-driven diy punk in the mode of other UK bands from that time: Spherical Objects, Autopilot, Reducers. In addition, two unreleased tracks showed up on the Stortbeat Collective double CD. Some of their material is available from Hyped to Death on its Messthetics series.

The Sods were not from Worthing, that was where the records were recirded! We were all from Harlow in Essex. Ans another thing mate, nobody, just nobody else sounded like us!
