The Barons (misspelled The Barrons on a couple of singles), a New Orleans-based vocal group that recorded a series of funk and sweet soul 45s during the 60s and 70s. The group worked extensively with producer Wardell Quezerque and songwriter Joe Broussard. The group formed in the Desire projects in the mid-1960s.
