IXTAB has been played on NTS shows including Fractal Meat On A Spongy Bone, with Sume first played on 21 August 2015.

There are 2 groups known as IXTAB:

1) Ultra lo-fi sick underground black metal centered on suicide and negativism. Hailing from the Yucatan area.

2) A lo-fi electronic and outsider techno outfit comprising the artists Blood Room and Ovis Aurum. They have released cassette and digital albums on Paris-based label THRHNDRDSVNTNN, Tymbal Tapes of Nebraska, USA, Edinburgh's Czaszka (Rec.) and Latvia's Bezirk Tapes.
