Eddie Quansah has been played on NTS shows including Afrobuddha Presents: Spirits Frequency, with Che Che Kule first played on 19 September 2015.

Eddie Quansah probably the greatest trumperter of his generation in Ghana. Eddie is a Ghanaian but I am not sure where he was born. Eddie played many venues in Ghana but I saw him a few times at the HOTEL DE CALIFORNIA, ADABRAKA, ACCRA - this was around 1962-1963.

The group he fronted was the GLOBE MASTERS. Well, I get the goose pimples when I talk about the GLOBE MASTERS.

Prior to leading the GLOBE MASTERS, he was with the STAR GAZERS. Not sure if he led this group.

When it comes to WEST AFRICAN HI-LIFE music, the STAR GAZERS probably produced some of the most memorable tunes.

I know these facts because when Eddie Quansah was with the GLOBE MASTERS, I was playing lead trumpet for the BLACK BEATS BAND.

Che Che Kule is a traditional Ga song and Eddie has done a good job of imortalising it. It is not Eddie's composition though. Eddie now lives in Australia.
