During the 1980s Brandi Ifgray led the group Shadowplay, which alternated the sound of smoky jazz with alternative punk energy. By the 90's, Ifgray was working in electronica and his debut album Le Mutant was produced by Finnish lounge impresario Jimi Tenor.
