NTS regular Omar-S has been hosting a show since 5 November 2021. NTS aired an episode dedicated to the music of Omar-S on 5 March 2019. Omar-S has been played on NTS over 570 times, featured on 509 episodes and was first played on 9 February 2011.

Alex "Omar" Smith is a Detroit House & Techno producer. Similar to Theo Parrish, Moodymann, et al. One of the few real underground House producers at the moment. He runs the FXHE label and releases his own music as well as some collaborations through limited pressings. He releases primarily under the names Omar S, Oasis and Alex. O. Smith.
