Copyright was a Canadian alternative rock band who first performed on December 31, 1980 in a Yaletown warehouse, but then split up, only to reform in the 1990s. The band was launched by vocalist Tom Anselmi and guitarist Christian Thorvaldson, who in between incarnations formed the shortlived and controversial punk rock band Slow, with new bassist Eric Marxsen and drummer Pete Bourne.
