Lian Ross, born Josephine Hiebel on December 8, 1962, in Hamburg, Germany, is a disco and pop singer known for her mid-1980s hits "Fantasy" and "It's Up to You" in the German charts.

Josephine Hiebel began her singing career in 1981 at the age of 22 under the stage name Josy. By 1984, she had released four singles. In 1985, she adopted the name Lian Ross and achieved her first chart success with "Fantasy," which reached number 22 in Germany. Between 1985 and 1989, she released seven more singles, with "It's Up to You" reaching a moderate chart position in the summer of 1986.

In the 1990s, Hiebel performed under various aliases, including Joy in the dance project Tears 'n Joy, Jobel for Exotica, and in 1999, she was part of the dance project 2 Eivissa. She continues to use the pseudonym Lian Ross. In 2009, she covered the song "Young Hearts Run Free," originally by Candi Staton in 1976.

Josephine Hiebel has also contributed background vocals for various productions by Luis Rodriguez, including albums by Matthias Reim, NEA!, Mark Ashley, Oliver Lukas, and Kristina Bach.

Additionally, Hiebel has been involved in numerous other projects and pseudonyms, such as 2 Funky, Avant Garde, Boom Boom Club, Creative Connection, Dana Harris, Fun Factory, DJ Pierro, Happy House, Hi Q, Joelle, and Teeko X.

Since 1981, her solo works have been produced, written, and composed by Luis Rodriguez, who has also played a significant role in her various projects.
