Tony Ollivierra is a Detroit area electronic musician and dj who got started in the late eighties. He was influenced by the Detroit club scene in the 80' and 90's in venues like The Shelter with Richie Hawtin, The Music Institute with Derrick May and Alton Miller, and The Majestic with Blake Baxter. Tony' first record was on Terrence Parker's Intangible label as DJ Slym Fas. After a couple of releases with Terrence, Tony went on to produce two singles with Carl Craig's Planet E label as Ibex. The Ibex name stuck for a few project's. A couple of year's later he comes back with a release on Third Ear called Spiritual War, a deep house cut with spoken word he performed himself. Next comes another Ibex release on Rush Hour called 360, followed by Meltdown ep on Yore. Tony ran a label called Ibex music which released 3 ep's between 2008 and 2011, after which this label is closing down. Currently Ollivierra has plans on a new label called Northside District with which he will be recording as his real name, the first single, Nangka e.p is currently in the pipelines.
