Soccer Team has been played on NTS in shows including Henry Rollins, featured first on 13 July 2015. Songs played include Too Many Lens Flares, Solid Ring Fighters and Lazy Colonist.

Soccer Team is a recording project of Ryan Nelson (Routineers, ex-Beauty Pill, ex-Most Secret Method) and Melissa Quinley. Ryan works for Dischord Records, and Melissa is a former employee of the same Washington, DC label. The band's first album, 'Volunteered' Civility & Professionalism, was recorded in Ryan's basement. The collaboration originally was not intended for commercial release. However, it was released by Dischord on August 28, 2006. The band began to play live shows in support of the album in the summer of 2006.
