The Invaders

The Invaders

The Invaders has been played on NTS shows including Nabihah Iqbal , with Conquering Lion first played on 11 July 2015.

There are many artists by this name:

1) The Invaders were a funk inspired jazz fusion group from the Bermudas providing instrumentals with exotic rhythms, funky grooves, and appealing jazz beats. Released in 1970, their fun LP 'Spacing Out' encompasses all that funk should be: strong horns, groovin' basslines, stunning wah-wah guitar, rocksteady inspired drums, and more.

2)The Invaders were a mod-influenced new wave/power pop band from West Yorkshire, England. It was made up of Slavko Sidelnyk, Martin Taylor, Howard Wilson, Phil Manchester, and Soo Lucas, aka Soo Catwoman on the vocals. Their sole album, 1980's 'Test Card', was released through Polydor Records. In addition, the band released two 1979 singles and an E.P. in 1980 (with an end total of four singles). The group being best known now for their single "Best Thing I Ever Did", their producer, Jimmy Pursey, would later find success with his own band: Sham 69.

3) The Invaders are a Milwaukee-based ska band. They formed in 1987 and had a continued run until 1999, winning numerous awards and recognition in the ska movement during that time. The Invaders reformed in the mid-00s with a new lineup, opening for prominent acts such as The English Beat and The Toasters. Regaining underground success, they've also headlined at smaller venues.

4) The Invaders (also known as The Fabulous Invaders) is a Swedish garage rock band with influences from the 60s melodic rock scene.

5) The Invaders was an obscure South African 60s garage rock band

6) The Invaders was a Miami rock group that had a short burst of success when they released the tracks "She's a Tiger" and "Honda Come Back" in 1966.
