Zerkalo

Zerkalo

Zerkalo has been played on NTS shows including Reebok Classics: Give Me Your Classics and I'll Show You the Future, with Invisible first played on 4 September 2014.

There are atleast 2 groups with the name Zerkalo.

Zerkalo is Electro / Experimental / Visual project co-produced by Victoria Lukas and Heinrich Mueller (aka Gerald Donald).

« With a string of arresting live performances and three 12″s released through Clone Records – ‘Stoi Storoni Zerkala’ Pts. I and II on dedicated post-Drexciya imprint Aqualung, last month’s ‘Experiment Zero’ on Frustrated Funk – Zerkalo has been the most active and engaging of these groups. Drawing on Lukas’s and Mueller’s shared interests in science and Russian literature, and Lukas’s particular obsession with the work of Andrei Tarkovsky, Zerkalo’s music is rooted in electro – the austere synth and rhythm patterns of Mueller are unmistakeable – but gestures towards older and more self-consciously poetic traditions. Zerkalo’s visual identity is strongly pronounced, and particular in the live arena the work of filmmakers Marie Athenais and Dorothée Smith combines with Lukas’s eldritch vocals and Mueller’s dry analogue textures to mesmerising, often disquieting effect. »

Fact magazine.

The experiment is not only the instrument but the purpose of the creative existence of Zerkalo band.

This is genuine art-fusion inclusive of rock, ethnics, conceptual jazz, flamenco and classic music. The band makes the sound of the music a source of spirits and feelings of the animate nature.

There are some light instrumental compositions as well as romantic songs in the creative work of Zerkalo.

The audience can’t help but give away to the musical atmosphere charm; every listener wanders in the ocean of meditative images.

A five piece screamo/emo violence band from Gothenburg/Skövde, Sweden.
