Masonna has been played on NTS shows including Don't Trip w/ Margarita, with Passion-3 first played on 13 April 2015.

Yamazaki "Maso" Takushi is the birthname of Japanese noise performer Masonna. Based in Osaka, Japan, Takushi has been releasing music under the Masonna moniker since 1987.

Takushi operates the Coquette Records label and is also a member of the group Christine 23 Onna, along with Toda Fusao from Angel'in Heavy Syrup. He also has an analog synthesizer project called Space Machine and is the vocalist in a fuzz punk band Acid Eater. He was a member of the experimental group Flying Testicle with Merzbow, as well as the Japanoise 'super-group' Bustmonsters, which included Masami Akita of Merzbow on drums.

All of Maso's projects draw heavily from psychedelic music. He has played with Runzelstirn & Gurgelstock, Aube, Merzbow, Jojo, Solmania, Boris, YBO2, K.K. Null, Blixa Bargeld, The Stars, Acid Mothers Temple among others.

Masonna's music consists mainly of him screaming into his microphone, accompanied with feedback screeches, static, and other dynamic noises. His live performances feature him leaping around and screaming in the same way, while he destroys and throws around objects on stage and intentionally induces mic feedback to create the screeching and sound you hear in his finished songs.
