Utilizing a distinct battery of influences, Bolivian-American sound artist Elysia Crampton works under the moniker E+E (pronounced "E-and-E," "ē/ē/ē," or simply "E"). A play on the phonetic sound for the Spanish word "And" (spelled "Y" [ē] ), the moniker reads as "And and And" or Y&Y. Musically, elements from avant-garde, latin folk, R&B, DJ, psych and metal come through predominantly, blended together to create a form of romantic maximalism.
