L'Infonie was an avant-garde Québécois chamber ensemble under the direction of composers Walter Boudreau and Raôul Duguay. They produced four albums between 1969 and 1974, after which the project ended.
The idea for L'Infonie was created during Quebec's Expo '67 by Boudreau and Duguay, who came from similar experimentative musical upbringings. L'infonie's style is characterized by frequent combination of free improvisation, contemporary classical, and jazz fusion.
