Waajeed is a frequent guest to NTS, appearing on various shows between 27 August 2015 and most recently on 20 June 2021. Waajeed has been played on NTS over 120 times, featured on 117 episodes and was first played on 6 March 2013.

The producer/DJ based out of Detroit got his start as an original member of Slum Village and by executive producing Dwele's first album, Rize. He started producing in 2000 and has since gone on to found his own record label, The Bling 47 Group, which has released records by Jay Dee and an album of instrumentals from Waajeed, and has signed Tiombe Lockhart and Invincible. He has also formed multiple groups, including Platinum Pied Pipers and Waajeed & The Jazz Kats.

Waajeed's productions have lead to him working with some of the industry's most respected artists such as Roy Ayers and Radiohead. He is currently working on forthcoming albums by Bling47 artists, Tiombe Lockhart, and Invincible, a brand new B47 compilation, The War LP, as well as the follow-up to the Platinum Pied Pipers' debut album, Triple P.
