NTS regular Last Japan has been hosting Circadian Rhythms w/ LAST JAPAN, ESCHA, MIDWIFE & AUSSCHUSS since 22 February 2013. On 22 January 2014, Last Japan was a guest on Moxie; and on 15 January 2014 was a guest on Moxie. Last Japan has been played on NTS over 40 times, featured on 41 episodes and was first played on 14 March 2014.

Hailing from South London talented producer and DJ, Last Japan, has set himself firmly within the UK underground scene with highly acclaimed and indisputably innovative releases on independent labels such as Bullet Train, LNUK and Signal Life. Last Japan’s success has not come as any surprise with a strong musical background, playing four instruments since childhood and going on to study a degree in music production. His identifiable creativity and technical abilities give him a notable edge and he has become the definition of a young, independent and underground artist. Last Japan’s perfectionist approach to everything he chooses to create has not gone unnoticed, with heavy Radio 1 and 1Xtra support from the likes of B.Traits, Toddla T and Benji B, as well as frequent guest spots on the infamous Rinse FM. Last Japan’s fans also include the likes of Oneman and Jackmaster with his productions becoming frequent essentials in their bag of dance floor tricks. Last Japan’s production skills have also caught the attention of commercial giants such as Nokia using tracks produced by himself and fellow producer Luke Oldham working together under the alias N55 for an advert featuring Last Japan making use of his acting skills! Leading sound design company Radium Audio also selected several of his tracks to work alongside their features used for an animation festival in Australia, highlighting Last Japan’s commercial prospects. His sound is described as eclectic covering 2-Step Garage, infused with Grime, Funky and Dubstep, having mainstream appeal to an ever growing, young and musically aware audience. When not busy writing for himself, or on collaborations with the likes of Trim, Little Jinder and Roses Gabor, Last Japan is busy touring the UK and Europe armed with a unique, genre-spanning selection. His ambitious sets often have an epic feel with a heavy focus on getting everyone dancing. They are fast paced, current and always bursting with the unexpected, his mixing skills reflecting his unwavering need for perfection.
