Kim English

Kim English has been played on NTS over 50 times, featured on 49 episodes and was first played on 16 January 2013.

Kim English (born in Chicago; died April 2, 2019) was an American electronica, soul, gospel, and house music singer.

English experienced a great deal of success on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts, beginning in the mid-nineties and continuing into the 21st century. Her first chart entry came in 1995 and was a minor hit ("I Know a Place," a US #32). Between 1999 to 2007, she scored eight hit singles in a row that hit the top two, five of those went to number one: "Unspeakable Joy", "Missing You", "Bumpin' and Jumpin'", "Everyday" and "Treat Me Right", "It Makes A Difference", "C'est La Vie" and "My Destiny." Most of them have received moderate to high rotation on Rhythmic/Dance format radio stations. The "Higher Things" album also features an excellent cover of Anita Baker's hit song, "Been So Long."

English's album titled, "My Destiny" was released in 2006.

All of her hits were released on Nervous Records NYC. Her later singles included "Nothing's Impossible" (2009) and "The Only One" (2011).
