Taranchyla aka Madd Spider is a dancehall deejay, sound system selector/micman, and producer based on Tampa, Florida. Born of Jamaican heritage in Brooklyn, New York, he joined the Tampa sound system King Chalice in 1998 at the age of 19, joining Tampa's Poison Dart sound a few years later. He rose to prominence as Poison Dart's micman (emcee), gaining a reputation for his intellectual speeches. He began deejaying studio tracks and sound system dubplates by 2010, and released several riddims of his own production in 2012, including the Hot Water riddim.
