Pacific Blue

Pacific Blue

Pacific Blue has been played on NTS shows including Channeling w/ Ivan Smagghe & Nathan Gregory Wilkins, with Argentina Forever first played on 11 November 2014.

There are at least two artists named 'Pacific Blue'.

1) A norwegian trance producer

2) An alias of the ever-mysterious british techno producer Shifted.

1) Per Kristian Grytdal (22.02.74) is the producer and the man behind PACIFIC BLUE. His music-career started when he was 15 years old. He performed a rap together with a friend at a party. Furthermore, he got in touch with a DJ. They decided to form a rap-act. As time went by, they changed the act into a dance-act..

In 1993 they nearly got a deal with EMI, but the negotiations were interrupted. Then during militaryservice the act passed away, and Per Kristian had a long break. Then in 1998 he made "HURRICANE" and suddenly, he was contacted by several recordcompanies and he had finally reached one of his goals. He signed edel, autumn 1998.

He started his career performing at a danceparty in Oslo Spectrum (x-mas 1998) together with Sash! among others.

The first single, HURRICANE, got great reviews from the UK and support from IBIZA DJ's. In September 1999 he released his first album, HORIZON. The album sold over 20,000 copies in Norway, which is more than a wellknown artist like ATB. From this album he released 4 singles, where HURRICANE, SUNRISE and OCEAN all reached the Norwegian top 10. The songs got also very high placements at the Norwegian and Scandinavian Dancecharts. (Hurricane and Sunrise both in the all-time-high of the year 1999). After touring Norway in spring 2000, he decided to take a break.

Edel Records closed their office in Norway during 2001/2002 and Pacific Blue got signed with Nordic Records Norway, summer 2002. He has released 3 singles from an upcoming album.

In the year 2003, he's still the most-selling norwegian tranceact.
