David Stoughton was an American musician based in Boston and a member of an experimental ensemble called The Cambridge Electric Opera Co. His sole release was an experimental/psychedelic folk/pop/underground album, Transformer, released in 1968 on Elektra records. Written and produced by Stoughton, the album features two other vocalists in Devi Klate and John Nicholls, Mal Mackenzie on bass, Joe Livolsi on drums, Peter Chapman on horns, and Steve Tanzer on flutes. Stoughton may now by a mathematician of that name.
