Similou was first played on NTS on 23 October 2023. Songs played include Liquor.

Just like many other up-and-coming Swedish bands, Joel Eriksson and Erik Niklasson in The Similou originate from Gothenburg. Both of them are involved in other projects; Erik as one part of duo "Plej" and Joel as recording artist JOL. Coming together in The Similou, they want to create "luxurious, phat, and dreamlike music". So far their single "All This Love" has spent a month on top of the Australian club chart.
