Crust is a Russian extreme metal band founded in 2014 in Nizhny Novgorod. Since her formation, she has released seven full-length albums. The band's early work combines post-black metal, sludge and doom metal. By the release of their fourth album "And A Dirge Become An Anthem" in 2020, the band had acquired their unique sound, which can be described as blackened death metal with elements of sludge and doom metal, acoustic folk melodies, and dark ambient. This style was most evident on the albums "Stoic" (2021) and "Wanderers" (2022) and began to decline by their seventh album "Dissolution" (2023), on which the band preferred to add more melodic black metal elements and sludge. The band's lyrics are dedicated to the decay of human society, evil, hatred, rejection and alienation. The album covers are classic dark black metal paintings, and the band's love of medieval themes is very evident.

Crust is considered one of the most promising Russian extreme metal bands. The band has performed at major heavy music festivals in Russia, such as Frost and Fire Fest and Siberian Meat Grinder.
