Abreaction has been played on NTS shows including Drum Poetry w/ DJ Persuasion, Dev/Null and Anina, with The Mind (Part 2) first played on 3 August 2023.

Abreaction is an unsigned act from Chicago. The name stems from a psychological term meaning, the purging or release of repressed emotions.

The fourth album by Abreaction entitled The Atriarchs is based on a story set in the future where the boundaries of consciousness and the construct of reality have been further refined. Each song on the album is from the perspective of a character in the story.
