Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Von Pea began releasing music professionally in 2006. His strongest influences are A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Common, & The Roots. In 2004 Von Pea was featured on Phonte and Nicolay’s Foreign Exchange “Connected” album (“Von Sees”) and is considered his breakthough into the indie hip hop scene.
