The Southern University Jazz Ensemble has been played on NTS in shows including The NTS Breakfast Show w/ Flo, featured first on 8 June 2023. Songs played include Ah Ja Ge Da Ba and Samba Dee.

New Orleans’ legend Alvin Batiste’s Spiritual Jazz albums created Goes To Africa With Love and Live at The 1971 American College Jazz Festival with the college band he instructed and led in Baton Rouge.
