Sir Lord Baltimore

Sir Lord Baltimore has been played on NTS in shows including Khanate , featured first on 25 May 2015. Songs played include Master Heartache, Hell Hound and Ain't Got Hung On You.

Sir Lord Baltimore was a rock band from Brooklyn, New York, active primarily in the early 1970s. The group released two albums on Mercury Records: "Kingdom Come" (1970) and "Sir Lord Baltimore" (1971). Their music combined hard rock and early heavy metal elements. A review of "Kingdom Come" in Creem magazine is notable for including one of the earliest documented uses of the term "heavy metal" to describe a style of music.

The band was known for its loud, aggressive sound and energetic performances. Both of their original albums were later reissued together on a single compact disc.

There have been reports suggesting the band disbanded in part due to contractual issues, including the possibility that they were excluded from receiving royalties from their first two albums.

In 2006, original members John Garner and Louis Dambra reunited to release new material under the band's name. The resulting album, "Sir Lord Baltimore III RAW," was based on music that had originally been intended for a third album in 1973 and was self-released in July 2006.
