Rupert Lally was born in Brighton, England and began making music in his teens as a drummer in local bands such as "Fizzywig" & "D.O.A".
During his time at University in Liverpool, he discovered electronic music and synthesizers and began creating music and sound design for university theatre productions.
After leaving university he took a Masters Degree in Music & Sound Design at Central School Of Speech & Drama in London and went on to become a sound designer and composer for theatre. In 2004 He moved to Switzerland and began composing music for tv, most notably the theme music for "ITV At The Movies".
He originally founded "Noisy Image", as a banner which could encompass not only his music and sound work but also video and graphics work by himself and other artists. The founding of the group was marked by the release of a C.D., entitled "the Noisy Image" which was sent out to industry people and production companies. Unfortunately, the team behind "Noisy Image" parted company after a year, and "Noisy Image" has since become the record label on which Rupert releases his own music.
His e.p. "Growing Up On Mars" and his subsequent album "Feral" were heavily championed by Resonance Fm DJ Mr Trick and in 2009 He released his follow up album "Threads". All his albums are now available via bandcamp.com
He is also resident sound designer and composer for Swiss modern dance company "Momentum Dance".
