LaShawn Daniels (born LaShawn Ameen Daniels in Newark, NJ, on 28 December 1977; died 3 September 2019) was an American songwriter. He was known for his songwriting credits on songs by Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Whitney Houston. Daniels won a Grammy Award in 2000 for songwriting on "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child, and was nominated again in 2013 for "Love and War" performed by Tamar Braxton.
