Qzen is a native San Franciscan with ten years DJ experience. Starting with drum & bass, she's continued to expand her repertoire to include techno, house, disco, indie dance, bassy business, and more. It's not as much about genres as it is keeping you happy on the dance floor. Her love of what she does shines through her selection, and her knowledge of music runs deep. (She worked as the dance and electronic music editor for iTunes for over four years.) In 2005, she appeared on her first record, contributing vocals to the underground techno hit "Sweat (On The Walls)" by John Tejada, released on Steve Bug's Poker Flat. In 2008, she joined 40 Thieves, and their cover of "Don't Turn It Off" for Germany's Permanent Vacation found its way on to several summer compilations, including Ministry of Sound's. She continues to create music and has remixes and original tracks with 40 Thieves out on Tirk, Rong, Loveslap, Supersoul, FineArt, Smash Hit Music, and more. She debuted a live set in June 2009 and played both Decibel Festival in Seattle and MUTEK Ar in Buenos Aires at the end of 2009. She's currently living in Buenos Aires, working on collaborations, remixes, and original material. For further info, hit up http://qzen.dj.
