George W. Johnson has been played on NTS shows including The Opera Show, with The Laughing Song first played on 1 April 2023.

One of the first African-Americans to make "records" of their music (back in the 1890s). His music was issued as "cylinders" that were played on a device called a "phonograph". See also: Unique Quartet
