1) Mellonta Tauta is a dream pop / shoegaze band founded in 1988 in Mar del Plata, Argentina, consisting of Leticia Solari and Daniel Lopez Quiroga. Their sound is often compared to groups like Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine and Galaxie 500. They released their music through the extinct German label Hyperium. Mellonta Taunta have been active mainly in the 1990s, releasing one full-length album titled "Sun Fell" (1994), two singles, "Ocean" (1994) and "Fishes" (1995), and appearing on several compilations. In 2010 the members reunited and recorded a new album, "Rainbow Melodies", released in 2013.
