Mukimukimanmansu (Korean: 무키무키만만수) was a duo from 2011 to 2013, consisting of Muki (무키/정은실/Jung Eunsil) andMansu (만수/Lee Minhwi/이민휘). The duo met during their studies at the Korea National University of Arts at a film club and decided to perform together with their friends just for fun at their school's Trash Music Festival (쓰레빠음악회). Muki played the gujanggujang (구장구장), a modified version of the Korean folk percussion instrument janggu (장구), and Mansu played the acoustic guitar, with both of them contributing to vocals.
They recorded their eponymous album in April 2012 (exact date unknown) through Beatball Music.
Though known for their chaotic idiosyncratic folk sound, they did not deliberately try to create that sound: they were originally hoping for a calm, quiet performance but found that making noise was much more fun.
They disbanded on March 30, 2013 at a club in Itaewon called 꽃땅, where Muki read a poem while burning her jangujangu. After disbandment, they continued on with their own solo activities.
