There are at least four different acts called Paintbox.
Paintbox is a Japanese hardcore band featuring ex-members of Death Side (Chelsea) and Screaming Hog (Mune).
After the demise of The Easybeats, Harry Vanda and George Young continued as a songwriting and production duo for a number of pseudonymous singles, including 'Get Ready for Love' b/w 'Can I Get to Know You' (June 1970), which was credited to Paintbox. The single was re-issued in 1971, but the pair the passed the band name over to the remnants of late sixties pop group Katch 22 (guitarist Keith Wilford, bassist Mike Eastman, drummer Paul Bonner). They recorded another Vanda/Young song ('Come On Round') before releasing a final single (a cover of Bread's 'Let Your Love Go') in early 1973, but by then the band were no longer involved with Vanda and Young.
Paintbox was an alternative pop / prog band from Sweden. Personnel is Linnea (vocals, cello), Gicken (bass, guitars, other sounds, backing vocals) and Magnus (drums, percussion, other sounds as well, backing vocals).
Paintbox was a funky progressive rock band from the Philadelphia, PA, United States region, with Jeff Boyer on drums, Clarence Horne on bass, August Roderick on vocals and Michael McClellan on guitar.
