Alexey Kolganov was born in Moscow July 28, 1987. Since early age he had fancy for music. By chance at the age of 12 he discovered Prodigy and Chemical Brothers. Those records exerted him to fall in love with electronic music. Being 14 y.o. Alexey started to make timid attempts to compose music on a computer with various programs, from eJay to synthesizer programming in Reaktor. At first he was doing it just for entertainment, without giving any special significance. Once got interested in drum-n-bass he started to produce music of this genre.
In 2005 Alexey organized his own netlabel mastik.org, specializing in atmospheric drum-n-bass music. The label made 7 releases and afterwards was peacefully closed. He also had several appearances at parties, but quickly lost his interest to that.
Soft, unobtrusive, even a bit monotonous sound with plenty of atmosphere and space has always been the predominant one in Alexey’s works. Nowadays he produces music in various genres, including ambient, idm, dub techno with help of computer, old synth Yamaha SY55 and several controllers.
