Born to Iranian Olympic Athlete parents, LouLou grew up in Paris, France. After moving from Europe to Rockville, Maryland she met Eric Hilton and Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation at the Eighteenth Street Lounge and they loved her voice from the beginning. After joining Thievery she was always moving around…restless…finally she opened her suitcase in Rochester, NY and decided to stay for a while. She ran into Discolobos, Ada le O, and the Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, all of which she has/still is collaborating with.
LouLou wants to share her thoughts with friends through music. There are many collaborations in the mix. While still touring with Thievery corporation, she plans on putting out a solo album in late 2007 to reflect all the sounds that help her look past the fucked up state of this planet we call home. Be sure to check out ESL Records for LouLou's 7'' with Thievery Corporation and other great compilations. Stay tuned for some CD releases on carbon records!
