Jurango

Jurango has been played on NTS shows including re:lax w/ re:ni & laksa, with Untitled first played on 3 April 2022.

There have been two artists who have recorded under the name Jurango.

Jurango is a Bristol based producer and DJ who made his debut on Dnuos Ytivil, the sister label of Livity Sound.

Jurango, first named Wrench and Wrench11, was formed by Pieter van der Kruijf (guitar and vocals), Laurens van Heems (guitar), Jos Reuser (Bass) and Ivan Beemster (Drums) in 1999. They all attended the same high school in Lisse, the Netherlands.

Over the years they developed a style that has never been characterized more detailed than 'rock'. They played on several renowned venues in the Netherlands, among others at Paradiso, Patronaat and the Melkweg. Also, they were part of a three week tour through Poland, Estonia and Latvia, together with Blue Tree and Novastrike.

Jurango split up in 2006. Pieter and Jos were later to form Ravolva, together with Bart van Zanten on drums. They released their demo 'Meconium'. Laurens formed the band 'The Zooters' and was guitarist with this band until 2008.

Jurango released one demo 'Unpredictaballs'.
