Fayzz has been played on NTS in shows including Shanghai, featured first on 30 January 2022. Songs played include People In Cycle.

Fayzz originated began as a personal project by Chengdu-based guitarist Ku Loumeng (48V, The Hit) who began uploading music to Douban under the name Fayzz in 2009. With this year’s inclusion of bassist Huang Yu, guitarist Mu Wang and drummer Song Xiaobo, Fayzz has now become a fully fledged band. Fayzz is a word with no real meaning, but the band is working to create a dreamland within it. They have a lonely kind of sound, a bridge to your mind that diverges from traditional post-rock by diluting the melodies, loops and walls of sound and infusing them with jazz elements, arrangements and instrumentation – an attempt to abstract matter, knowledge and thoughts from a paranoid perspective.

Perhaps Fayzz music doesn’t possess the majesty of the starry night or open ocean, but who can say for sure? Majesty is in the heart of the beholder. Every human mind has it’s own city, floating high in the sky and hidden underground, all wrapped in music that can achieve freedom and release. Let us resonate together in creating this short strand of neon light, to imagine, lose oneself, be at peace and enjoy.
