01:00 - 02:00

Once mixed under a sunshiny roof in Cologne, now developed in a snugly room in Berlin: 150 Session has no clue what to do, missed all goals and comes around from all directions. ML's worldly sets are prepared spontaneously, marrying avant-electronics with foretime chants, odd dance emotions, man-made minimal tones, psychedelic fuzz and some neon light jazz. No country, no flag – outernational without a cause!

The Toys

The Toys

The Toys has been played on NTS in shows including Lavender Kite Audio Research Hour w/ Barnaby Bennett, featured first on 12 July 2021. Songs played include Deserted and A Lover's Concerto.

There are at least two artists named The Toys: 1) a American R&B girl group from Jamaica, Queens, New York from the 1960's: 2) a Thai singer.

1)The Toys were discovered at a talent show by manager Vince Marc, who introduced them to songwriters Sandy Linzer and Denny Randell. Linzer and Randell wrote most of the songs recorded by them, including their Number 2 hit single "A Lover's Concerto", and also produced the group's 1965-66 recordings on Bob Crewe's DynoVoice Records record label. The melody of "A Lover's Concerto" is famously based on the "Minuet in G" by Baroque-era composer Christian Petzold. In 1967 the group changed labels and producers, but charted only one more minor single (a cover of Brian Hyland's "Sealed with a Kiss") before breaking up.

At the peak of their popularity The Toys appeared on all of the major TV rock programs, including Shindig!, Hullabaloo, and American Bandstand. They also had a cameo role in the 1967 beach movie It's A Bikini World.

2)Thanwa Boonsoongnern (Thai: ธันวา บุญสูงเนิน; born 1 December 1995), known professionally as THE TOYS(เดอะทอยส์,) is a Thai singer, rapper, songwriter, musician and record producer. His song, "Na Nao Tee Laew (Last Winter) went viral, getting him signed to What The Duck record company soon after.

After winning the 9th Overdrive Guitar Contest when he was 18, The Toys added bass, ukulele, piano, keyboards, synthesiser and drums. He writes, arranges, and plays all the instruments, and does the mixing and mastering.

The Toys came from a music family. He is the only son of Nittaya Boonsoongnern, a Thai pop singer from the 80s-90s, and the nephew of transsexual singer, Jern Jern Boonsoongnern.
